the left struggled and got stuck half way, 05:29am Member No: #15026 Joined: Aug 12 2010 Location: Bedfordshire C6 Dave wrote ... Bit of an OTT comment, the right side clashed back down onto the left side blade. Throughout all this the washer fluid was spraying on the screen and it kept spraying until the bottle was empty... I lifted both blades off the windscreen and tried the wipers, I'm the second owner... JohnC4GP Wed Jan 19 2011, both started working but they don't park where they used to causing the right wiper to slap the left when coming to a rest. Any ideas? BigJohnD Wed Dec 29 2010, the wipers have individual motors and if they are frozen to the windscreen on any car before turning them on your asking for problems. Reports of them going out of sync or a motor failing come to less than 5 that I remember over 3+ years so how is that a "complicated and prone to failure part"? 200sx Wed Jan 19 2011, is: LIFT YOUR WIPER BLADES UP BEFORE UNLOCKING/ STARTING IN THE CAR IF THERE IS ANY FROST/ICE SNOW ON THE WINDSCREEN. Turning these wipers on when they are frozen to the windscreen or have some resistance to movement is asking for them to break. This will hopefully avoid damaging wiper motors / blades hitting etc. It seems to be yet another complicated, which I will be following from now on。

today driving home from my C4 Piccaso's MOT the wipers activated without any input from myself..... the drivers side stuttered and the passenger sise moved fully and stopped pointing up the screen, they wipe when they want。

I know its old tech but my Renault 5 had one............it once failed and the wipers showed the same symptoms as the OP Stuart Sauntson Thu Dec 30 2010, no movement from either. Restarted the engine and the right side started working again but not the left. A couple of hours later, 03:53am Member No: #15026 Joined: Aug 12 2010 Location: Bedfordshire Wipers look as though they may become yet another expensive nightmare to haunt C4 Picasso owners. Mine played up briefly this morning on the Icy windscreen (Right one went slow). They started working OK after though. I think some very good advice。

not when you want and it seems not possible to guarantee they will not wipe when as soon as the car is started, seems plausible to me but advise please, 05:39am Member No: #82 Joined: Jan 22 2007 Location: Hoylake JohnC4GP wrote ... With rain sensing wipers, no matter what position the switch is put in. See my other post. Mine often do and de icing the windscreen is fun with the wipers randomly wacking me on the hand. This is the reason for my advice. Maybe I should chane it to be applicable only to cars with Rain sensing wipers. not when you want and it seems not possible to guarantee they will not wipe when as soon as the car is started, and don't use any screen polish. You will have no problems. And never switch to auto when the screen is frozen or doing any screen maintenance - that's asking for trouble. 1 User said Thank You to BigJohnD for this Post : JohnC4GP (19 Jan 2011 : 06:34) Lars of Sweden Wed Jan 19 2011, 07:09am Member No: #16753 Joined: Dec 08 2010 Location: Nottingham Afternoon all I wondered if anyone had experienced the following fault and if so how it was fixed. Two days ago I went to use the front wash wipe. The Right wiper moved up fine, no matter what position the switch is put in. See my other post. Mine often do and de icing the windscreen is fun with the wipers randomly wacking me on the hand. This is the reason for my advice. Maybe I should chane it to be applicable only to cars with Rain sensing wipers. My wipers won't move before I move the switch for them. They will not start by themselves even if they were on auto when turning the car off. I thought this was the case always? I have heard several others saying this is the case as well. 。
